Personal Training

PTI recognizes that everyone has unique fitness goals. More importantly, we understand individuals have different needs when it comes to finding the right formula or tools necessary for achieving those goals. That’s why we staff some of the most knowledgeable certified personal trainers around. They will create personalized programs appropriate to fit each individual’s requirements.

PTI offers both individual (1 on 1) training as well as group training. SAQ (Speed, Agility and Quickness)

Over the last 15 years Performance Training Inc., has developed SAQ (Speed, Agility, and Quickness) into a comprehensive package of more than 40 powerful training systems designed to enhance the sport-specific needs of the athlete. SAQ encompasses explosive training, resistance training, hand-eye coordination, quick-hand instruction, balance, perception, multi-directional movement, acceleration, and velocity training. These training methods improve physical performance in all sports through better preparation of the athlete for the demands of competition.

Strength and Conditioning

Strength and Conditioning programs address the sport-specific and personal needs of athletes. Our professional and experienced staff of strength experts provides athletes a complete system to get the results they need.

Injury Recovery and Prevention

Athletes in any sport run the risk of becoming injured at some point during training or competition. PTI, through its association with local orthopedists, has an integrated Rehabilitation and Sports Performance program to help athletes who do become injured. PTI can easily incorporate rehabilitation with strength and movement training to help an injured athlete return to his or her sport quickly and at a competitive level.

Returning athletes to play is our main focus and goal. Each athlete is progressed according to their level of release from their physician. Athletes are released in sequence for all of the movements of their sport: strength building, linear movement, lateral movement, change of direction, and explosive movements.  Once fully released, athletes generally continue their strength and movement training with us to help “prevent” any reoccurrences.

Sport-Specific Skill Training

We at Performance Training, Inc. pride ourselves in the diversity of our trainers. Whether baseball, football, basketball, track, soccer, rugby, or swimming, we have the knowledge and experience to teach sports skills to individuals of all ages and talent levels. From beginning fundamentals, to philosophies of situations, we are capable of helping any athlete become better at their individual sport.

ACL Prevention Program

Our unique speed training teaching and techniques, in philosophy alone, help athletes to be in the proper body position to not only be efficient in their movements, but to decrease the likelihood of injury as well. In addition to our everyday practices, we also offer an extended “ACL add-on” that further teaches athletes how to safely absorb body mass and change direction without putting joints in compromising positions.

We at PTI have teamed up with Sports Metrics to become certified in the “prevention” of ACL’s. (Note: No training can overcome the potential for extenuating circumstances) Our program begins with a testing process that will numerically give each athlete a risk assessment based on the inward and outward movement of the knees. After this assessment, a 12-week program is implemented, focusing on teaching the athlete how to take the pressure off of the knees and utilize their hips as their power center. Upon completion of the program, PTI trainers will reassess each athlete to determine their improvement.

PTI’s “ACL add-on” has proven to not only be effective with individual athletes, but with implementation into team programs as well. This program, combined with our SAQ training, is unlike any other in the country for movement speed and efficiency and injury “prevention”.

We offer the ability to implement goal achievement, point systems, and incentives for employees involved in the program, which proves not only to be effective, but to retain and motivate all involved as well.

Why worksite wellness? When it comes to worksite wellness, indecision and complacency can have major ramifications. Consider these health trends impacting America today:

  • Chronic diseases related to lifestyle account for 70% of the nation’s medical-care cost.
  • People with healthier lifestyle live 6 to 9 years longer than people with unhealthy lifestyle.
  • Recent studies demonstrate that people with unhealthy habits have higher medical-care cost.
  • According to the Guardian study, among employers that see a value in wellness programs, 68% of small employers, 78% of midsize employers and 69% of large employers want their insurance carriers to play a role in helping their company implement wellness and prevention programs to help reduce absenteeism and healthcare costs.
  • Wellness programs do not have to be expensive to implement. It makes sense for most companies of all sizes to offer some type of program that encourages workers to lead healthier lives. Leading edge insurance companies embed wellness programs into their insurance plans at no additional costs and offer incentives to companies that encourage their employees to live healthier lifestyles.
